Terms of Use

Last updated: February 2026

TL;DR: Use the app for meal planning. Don't do crimes with it. Subscriptions renew automatically but you can cancel anytime. We're not responsible if you make a terrible grilled cheese.

The basics

Eats is a meal planning app. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. Pretty straightforward.

What you can do

What you can't do

Subscriptions

Eats Faster is an optional subscription that uses cloud processing for faster meal generation. Eats works fine without it using on-device AI.

Bring your own key

You can also use your own Anthropic API key instead of subscribing. Your key is stored on your device and sent directly to Anthropic. We never see it.

The app's suggestions

Eats uses AI to suggest meals. The suggestions are just that—suggestions. We're not nutritionists, doctors, or your mom. Use your own judgment about what to eat.

If you have food allergies, double-check ingredients. The app tries to respect your preferences, but it's software, not a mind reader.

Availability

We try to keep Eats running smoothly, but sometimes things break. We don't guarantee 100% uptime, especially for the Faster cloud features.

Changes

We might update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the app or by updating this page.

Termination

You can stop using Eats anytime by deleting the app. We can terminate access if you violate these terms, but we'd rather not—just be cool.

Liability

Eats is provided "as is." We're not liable for any damages from using the app. This includes but isn't limited to: bad meal suggestions, grocery store trips, family dinner arguments, or grilled cheese disasters.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
